Looking for a stunning alternative to the usual conference venue?

The Furneaux Lodge is a unique, boutique hotel set in absolute wilderness. A gracious historic lodge offering personal service, cosy and inviting atmosphere, no distractions - mobile phones have no coverage - and a refreshing natural environment embraced by virgin native bush on the shore of the Endeavour Inlet. Absolute contrast to any office environment in New Zealand.

The Furneaux Lodge Conference Venues
The lodge is a historic boutique hotel set in the outer Marlborough Sounds, a 1hr water taxi ride from Picton Town Wharf. Built as a private home in 1902, the lodge has been extensively restored of late and now offers a pleasing juxtaposition of elegant architecture and vistas against contemporary facilities

Conference Accommodation
The Furneaux Lodge is available for conferencing from May 1 through until October 1 of each year. There are a range of accommodation alternatives. Please refer to our accommodation pages for full details of the suites and chalets, and images. Rates include breakfast, and are valid for conferences of minimum 10 delegates.

Individual Suites
- max 21 delegates $150
Individual rooms in Chalets and Suites
- 29 delegates $99
Triple share Chalets & twin share Suites
- 40 delegates $74

Conference Transfers
Special Transfer rates are available for groups. They depend on the number of passengers and the choice between scheduled sailings and charter sailings from Picton Town Wharf. Transfers are available from $45pp. Charters are available 24 hours a day and will take you directly to Furneaux Lodge. The journey will take 45 minutes. Our preferred water taxi service is Cougar Line. We are happy to make reservations for you.

Helicopter transfers ex Wellington
Helicopter transfers are available for up to 40 delegates. A scenic flight will take you across the Cook Strait and through the Marlborough Sounds where you will land directly on the front lawn of the lodge.

The Conference Package
Catering alternatives are available on request. The standard package for lunch is a working platter style lunch, and is the most popular choice. A la carte is available, as is BBQ or Bistro style meals.
