Mokoia Island is the perfect romantic spot for weddings - the most popular ceremony location on the island is close to Hinemoa's pool. Hinemoa being the famous maiden in Rotorua’s favourite forbidden love story - Hinemoa and Tutanekai.  A story of two star-crossed lovers who finally embraced in their love on Mokoia Island – this romantic union is of significant cultural importance to Rotorua and is still celebrated today.

We can also arrange a Maori Concert Party or catering for your group and any hire items such as seating if you so require.
