Mt Smart Stadium is Auckland Regional Council’s premier event venue.  The 22 hectare stadium precinct is part of the council’s network of 26Regional Parks and belongs to the residents and ratepayers of the Auckland region.  

The Mt Smart Stadium precinct hosts a wide variety of users.  The precinct is home to the Vodafone Warriors Rugby League team, it is used by Athletics Auckland and the Auckland Football Federation, plays host to rugby sevens and touch rugby and is the venue for numerous entertainment events.  Since 1995 Mt Smart Stadium has been the New Zealand home of the Big Day Out music festival.
